One of the first questions parents and students ask us is: When is the best time to go to the United States?!
The reality is that there is no single answer, but there are certain ages that are more recommended to ensure the experience is a success.
The majority of students travel between the ages of 14 and 17. This allows them to integrate into the American system in grades such as 10th – 11th grade (equivalent to 4º de ESO or 1º de Bachillerato).
And why not later? Because the J-1 program, for example, does not allow you to repeat a year and requires you to return to Spain once the course is over. Additionally, the sooner you live the experience, the easier it is to adapt and enjoy it to the fullest.
